BALLYDEHOB JAZZ & ARTS FESTIVAL

The Ballydehob Jazz & Arts Festival takes place over the May bank holiday weekend.

The village of Ballydehob, which is situated at the entrance to the Mizen Peninsula in West Cork, Ireland, on the Wild Atlantic Way, hosts the Ballydehob Jazz Festival. The festival has grown significantly since its establishment in 2007 and was a finalist for the Best West Cork Festival award in 2019.

The festival, held annually during the May Bank Holiday weekend, showcases over 40 live music and dance performances, ranging from prominent concerts to small workshops, lively pub gigs to intimate side shows, and various fringe events. The Ballydehob Jazz Festival has attracted notable headliners such as Meschiya Lake & The Little Big Horns from New Orleans, Jack & Jills Swing Band from Paris, Lake Street Dive from the United States, and The Good Night Circus from Berlin. Each year, thousands of people attend the festival to participate in the Ballydehob New Orleans Jazz Funeral Parade and the international swing dance program.
