Fastnet Film Festival takes place in Schull from May 22nd to May 26th 2023.

The Fastnet Film Festival is a film festival that doesn’t take place in a cinema but offers a range of alternative venues for screenings, such as local hotels, village halls, and even pubs and restaurants. Every year, over 500 short films from 40+ countries compete for a share of the €45,000 cash prize. The festival is focused on the art of filmmaking and includes seminars, workshops, and masterclasses with experts from the film industry. There are also fringe events, like a film quiz, live music, and family-friendly entertainment.
